Homes For Children in Difficult Circumstances Description: To provide a safe, caring environment, including food, shelter and clothing for children in the most difficult circumstances in three communes, in order that these children can continue their education and become productive members of their communities.
Education Support For Children in Difficult Circumstances Description: To identify children who are in danger of dropping out of school because of poverty and assisting them by providing exercise books, text books, school supplies, school bag and if needed a school uniform to help them continue their education.
Individual Assistance to Children with Special Needs Description: When a child with special needs is identified, appropriate individual assistance is given. This has included, medical support, small operations, provision of wheel chairs and other equipment that will enhance the quality of life. Hearing aids, and therapy to enhance quality of life. Cow Bank Project Description: Contributing to the reduction of poor households in Bac Lung commune through loaning calves to poor households. These calves are raised and when they give birth, the new calf is given as repayment of the loan and transferred to another poor household, thus forming a loan repayment cycle. Also conducting public announcements and providing training in cow-raising techniques, and detection and prevention and treatment of diseases for cows. Also training the commune para-vet team and establishing credit and savings funds.
Agriculture Development Description: The target is to increase household income. This is done by forming rice and pig interest groups and providing revolving loans. Biogas Project Description: Introducing biogas technology by conducting training for local construction crews in the knowledge and skills required to construct biogas digesters; demonstrating biogas models for selected beneficiaries, including training in biogas operations and maintenance; provide training regarding the benefits of biogas; and conducting information dissemination and awareness-raising activities for the community. | Top |

Early Childhood Care and Development Description: Training in IEC and general concepts for ECCD are conducted for the leadership, representatives of the hamlets, preschool teachers, and health clinic staff. DISASTER MITIGATION Avian Influenza Assistance Description: Training in diseases prevention, identification and management were conducted. Awareness-raising on the same topics was also publicized through loudspeaker systems. Training in bookkeeping was also carried out for project beneficiaries. Loans were given to selected households.
